Lesson Policy

 Lessons are divided into two terms: Sept – Jan and Feb – June.

Students register for one five month term and may register at any time during the term.

The student sees the same teacher at the same time for a private ½ hour lesson each week.

There are no lessons on statutory holidays. There is a two week break at Christmas and a one week break during March break. Professional Activity days and Professional Development days are not considered holidays.

A student may cancel a lesson with 24 hours notice and schedule a make up lesson with the teacher. Two make up lessons per term will be allowed.

  

If our studios are closed and lessons cancelled due to inclement weather, students will be notified by 2:00 P.M. Shaw Music does not provide make up lessons for students who choose not to come to their lesson due to weather conditions.

Lesson payments may be made with five post-dated cheques, five pre-authorized credit card payments or a lump sum payment for the term.

Lessons are calculated at a rate of $27.50 per ½ hour lesson. The total number of lessons per term is divided into five equal monthly payments.
